Lin Xiaoyu (林小雨, "Little Rain") is the current cover identity of Zhang Rui (张锐), a former senior operative of China's Ministry of State Security (MSS) who was isekai'd into the Celestial Dragon Dynasty.

Overview

Lin Xiaoyu appears as an 18-year-old Chinese woman with delicate features, flawless skin, and an innocent, youthful appearance. In reality, she is a 38-year-old veteran intelligence operative with extensive experience in espionage, honeypot operations, asset recruitment, and elimination of targets.

She was deliberately assigned by the Shadow Pavilion to infiltrate the Star Kingdom of Valhalla and specifically target Conor Cullen, the commander of the supercapital, using herself as a honeypot.

Zhang Rui had a long and successful career as a field operative for the Ministry of State Security (MSS). She specialized in long-term HUMINT operations, particularly honeypot missions, turning high-value assets, gathering kompromat, and occasional wet work. By the time Earth was destroyed by Cthulhu and his minions, she was 38 years old and at the peak of her professional abilities.

Isekai and Arrival

Upon being isekai'd, Zhang Rui chose an 18-year-old body to maximize her operational effectiveness and reset the limitations of her previous age. She quickly integrated into the Celestial Dragon Dynasty and was recruited by the Shadow Pavilion.

Current Role

Lin Xiaoyu currently serves as a "cultural and technical liaison" attached to operations near the Star Kingdom of Valhalla. Her primary mission is to get close to Conor Cullen and compromise him through seduction and emotional manipulation.

So far, all standard honeypot techniques have failed. Conor consistently treats her with protective, big-brother energy rather than romantic interest, referring to her as "kid" or "kiddo" and offering mentoring advice.
